The Remix: The timeless Ramadanman Remix of Sonarpilot’s Voodoo Logic on EP1 captured Kennedy around the time his breakthrough track Work Them was made, the remix sitting neatly alongside in terms of style and flavour. It sounds as fresh today as it did back in 2010 with its organic percussion, chugging bass and room ambience effects.
Artist Profile: David Kennedy is fast becoming one of the most talked about electronic music artists of recent times thanks to his strikingly infectious, organic production details and earth rumbling bass lines. Kennedy really came into his own through the UK Dubstep scene throughout the later half of the noughties (while still only in his late teens) with releases on numerous labels like 2nd Drop, Hemlock, Soul Jazz Records and the development of his own Hessle Audio label – put together with friend and respected club/radio DJ Ben UFO. Late 2010 saw Ramadanman’s profile go through the roof thanks to the release of seminal 12” single Work Them/Fall Short on Loefah’s Swamp 81 label. He put a benchmark CD mix together for Fabric shortly afterwards and continues to push the boundaries of electronic music with his newly favoured ‘Pearson Sound’ artist name.
